Punctuation is a system in which marks are used in writing to indicate pauses and division of sentences.
The Apostrophe is used :
(1) To show possession or belonging. The position of the apostrophe indicates singular or plural possession. For example,
(2) To show joint possession. For example, Mary and Mary's mother won the award.
(3) In contractions or omission of leters. For example,
(4) To form the plural of letters and figures.
